As the project manager responsible for the grounds and maintenance at Hanley Mill, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his work. With a lifelong love of the countryside and period properties, he's dedicated to creating a haven for wildlife and a haven of tranquillity for visitors.

A True Countryman

Growing up amidst the rolling hills and woodlands of the countryside, Mike developed a deep understanding of the natural world and its inhabitants. This expertise shines through in his work, as he carefully tends to the estate's grounds, nurturing a haven for local wildlife to thrive.

Creative Expression

Take a stroll around the estate, and you might stumble upon one of Mike's unique chainsaw carvings, crafted during the COVID-19 pandemic. These intricate creations showcase his artistic side and add a touch of whimsy to the already enchanting surroundings.

Problem-Solving Pro

Mike's reputation as a creative problem-solver has earned him recognition locally. His instrumental role in bringing the new village hall to life in Eastham is just one example of his ability to turn ideas into reality.

The Bee Whisperer

As the keeper of Hanley Mill's bees, Mike's fascination with these incredible creatures led to the development of The Bee Fairy skin care products. This range, created in partnership with Belinda, offers natural, nourishing products for humans, horses, and dogs.

Empowering Local Artisans

Mike's latest venture, The Teme Valley Artisans, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting local makers and artists. With a shop set to open in Tenbury in June, this initiative promises to showcase the best of the Teme Valley's creative talent and provide a platform for artisans to share their work with the community.

Belinda

Interior Design Specialist

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating warm, inviting spaces, Belinda is the interior design specialist behind the welcoming atmosphere of our cottages. Her dedication to crafting the perfect retreat for our guests is evident in every carefully considered touch, from the thoughtful layout to the comforting amenities.

Belinda's love for interior design is matched only by her enthusiasm for bringing people together in beautifully designed spaces. Her extensive experience in the industry has equipped her with the skills to balance form and function, ensuring that every element of our cottages contributes to a seamless and enjoyable stay.

But Belinda's passion doesn't stop at interior design. She's also deeply invested in creating a sense of warmth and welcome that extends beyond our cottages. Her care and passion for the gardens at Hanley Mill are evident plus she's the mastermind behind our delightful welcome baskets, filled with homemade goodies from our own orchard, including delicious jam, apple juice and fresh eggs, accompanied by a scrumptious cake and all the essentials to make your stay feel like home.

When she's not busy overseeing the interior design and layout of our properties or handling the administrative side of the lettings, Belinda can often be found spending time with her beloved Welsh mountain ponies, Bella and Caramac. Her lifelong passion for horses and ponies has seen her show them in hand, and she previously ran a successful riding school and cross-country event business for children in the Cotswolds, alongside her partner Mike.
